Hi there, I’m Jen — the hands, heart, and little bit of holy chaos behind Blessed But Distracted Co.

This small-batch business was born out of a season of loss, love, and starting over. After being laid off and spending months caring for my mama through hospice until she passed at the end of September, I found myself searching for peace and purpose in the quiet that followed.

Creating these tallow creams, balms, and simple home remedies became more than just a way to earn an income — it became my healing work. Every jar, every scent, every label carries a piece of the love, grit, and grace that kept me going through those long days and longer nights.

I wanted to build something that honored the values my mama lived by — faith, hard work, and never letting life’s distractions steal your joy. Around here, we celebrate the beautifully scattered life — the kind where your apron’s got flour on it, your heart’s got a few cracks, but you’re still smiling and showing up anyway.

All of my products are handmade in small batches right here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. They’re simple, wholesome, and crafted with the same care I’d use for my own family.

My hope is that when you open a jar from Blessed But Distracted Co., you feel a little of that same comfort — that mix of country calm, faith, and resilience that got me through the hardest season of my life.

Because no matter how distracted life gets, we are still so very blessed. 🤍
